Book Signing - Wednesday, October 11th
State Treasurer Jonathan Miller signed his new book, "The Compassionate Community" at the Hickman County
Public Library on October 11th from 3:30 to 4:30. Miller, whose book is subtitled "Ten Values to Unite America",
focuses on not what divides us as Americans, but the values we all can agree on - compassion, opportunity, responsibility,
work, family, freedom, faith, justice, peace, respect and life. Each value is associated with an Old Testament character (
Noah, Moses, Esther, Jacob, etc).
The signing, sponsored by the Hickman County Arts Council which will also sponsor the Second Clinton Christmas Book Fair
on December 2nd at the Young Center of the First Methodist Church. The book is $24.95. Miller is donating all his profits
from the book to charity. A copy is available at the Hickman County Public Library and it can be purchased by following the
link on our links page.
