Outside
of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. - Groucho Marx (quote chosen by Hunter Whitesell for the Book Fair Guide).
HC members worked throughout
the Fair
| Jacob and Megan - student ambassadors |

|
| Our student helpers worked hard and made us proud. |
Some workers managed to avoid the
camera. There's always next year and you will be the first to be shot (with a camera, of course).
| Good Grief! What would we have done |

|
| without Henry and his calculator? |

|
| Katie and students work on lunch |

|
We talked and ate, laughed and shopped.

|
| Herbert Martin and shoppers |
| Talking books with Larry Arnett |

|
| Dorothy Nell, Marie Jackson and Jenna Rushing |

|
All ages turned out to shop and eat
at the Book Fair.

A Book Fair is about shopping for sure. It is also a chance for authors to meet each other, to be a part of a community
which is generally pretty solitary. It is a chance for aspiring authors to pick the experts' brains and to share their
ideas with each other.
| Mrs. Tucker is ready to sell some books. |

|
| Hal and Hunter exchange pleasantries |

|
| Bob Lochte is the guy in the cool hat. |
| Little people enjoy the Book Fair |

|

|
| Bob Lochte, Ken Tucker and Larry Krohn |
| Alan, Larry and John - surely a history discussion |
